The holy city of Amritsar is famous for Golden Temple, which is one of the most sacred place for the Sikhs. A huge water pool that surrounds the Golden Temple also gives Amritsar its name, which means “holy pool of elixir”.

This package is for travellers who can arrive in Holy city of Amritsar in the morning or afternoon. It gives them an opportunity to visit Harmandir Sahib in the evening. Travellers have an option to visit the Golden Temple again in the early hours of morning and also an option of visiting Gurdwaras around Amritsar, provided they are departing later in the afternoon.

Amritsar is accessible by Air, Rail & Road. From Delhi there are 2 Shatabdi Express trains that operate daily in the morning & late afternoon. Train connects most major cities in India to Amritsar. Amritsar is connected by flight from Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi, Pune, Goa, Varanasi, Vadodara, Bhubaneswar, Patna, Lucknow, Raipur, Ranchi, Chennai and Ahmedabad

DAY 1 - Arrive in Holy City of Amritsar
- On your arrival in the holy city of Amritsar our driver will meet and greet you.
- Transfer to your hotel. After check-in at your hotel. Normal check-in time is 1400 hours.
- In the afternoon we take you for visit of Golden Temple complex. Located in the complex are the Golden temple, Akal Takht Sahib, Gurdwara Lachi Ber, Gurdwara Thara Sahib, Ber Baba Budha Ji, Gurdwara Baba Atala Rai, Dukh Bhanjani Beri and Central Sikh Museum.
- After darshan and time permitting you may visit the historical Jalianwala Bagh and Durgiana Mandir.
- Late afternoon we visit Wagah Border to watch “lowering of flags” ceremony which takes place before sunset. This is a daily military practice in which the Indian Border Security Force and the Pakistani Rangers participate.
- In the evening at 2000 Hrs we will take you for another visit of the Golden Temple.
- It is an overwhelming sight to see the Golden Temple once it is lit up in the evening.
- After darshan return to your hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 2 - Depart from Amritsar
- Early morning optional tour of Golden Temple complex.
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- You may take the optional tour available to visit Bir BaBa Budha ji, Cheharta Sahib, Dera Baba Nanak (near Pakistan border), Kartarpur Sahib (can only be seen from the Indian side of the border as the Gurdrwara is in Pakistan) and Baba Bakala Sahib.
- Later in the afternoon we transfer you to the Railway Station or Airport for your departure.
