Trimbakeshwar Temple
The temple made entirely of black stone is located in the foothills of Bharamagiri Hills. This place is also one of the sources of river Godavari. Trimbakeshwar Temple houses one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. The special significance of the Jyorirlinga here is its 3 faces that signify Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu and Lord Rudra. Two most popular Puja’s performed here are Narayan Nagbali and Kalsarpa yog. The Linga here has started to erode due to continuous use of water. However many believe it symbolizes eroding values of human society. The crown that covers the Linga is believed to be from the period of Pandavas and is made of diamonds and precious stones. The temple is located at a distance of 28 Kms from town of Nashik.
Grishneshwar Temple
As mentioned in Shiva Purana, Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. It is also believed to be the last of twelve Jyotirlingas on earth. The temple lies at a distance of 30 Kms from the town of Aurangabad.
Bhimashankar Temple
The ancient shrine of Bhimashankar is situated in Sahyadri Hills, an area which is now a wildlife sanctuary. The shrine has one of the twelve Jyotirlingas as mentioned in Shiva Puranas.
